Veterans Day Mass and Tribute
Please join the Northeast Catholic Alumni Association's Veterans Committe on Wednesday, November 11, 2026 (Veterans Day) for a Veterans Day Mass and our "257 Fallen Falcons" Banner Tribute.
The mass will be held at St Dominic's Church (8504 Frankford Ave) and will be con-celebrated by Father John Hutter and Father James Dalton OSFS. See details below
8:15 AM - Mass at St Dominic's
Following the mass, the committee will carry the North Catholic banner and our veterans, priests and parishioners will be led down the west side pavement of Frankford Ave to our "257 Fallen Falcons" banner, located at the intersection of Frankford Ave and Blakinston Street.
While at the banner, a military Color Guard will perform taps and a military 9-gun salute at graveside in St Dominic's Cemetary
A short prayer service will be held, followed by a brief history of a few North Catholic veterans who died in war, which will be read by a Veterans Committee member.
The march will then proceed to the Father Judge "27 Fallen Crusaders" banner, on the west side of Frankford Ave, just north of Solly Ave. The names of the 27 Crusaders who gave their lives in Viet Nam will be read, followed by a short prayer service
The Veterans Committee will then proceed into the cemetary to read off the names of the 257 Fallen Falcons who gave their lives in World War II, Korea, Viet Nam and Afghanistan.
10:30 - 11:15 - The service will end with a "Q & A" for the students at St Dominic's with a lunch for Veterans at St Dominic's Marian Hall.
