Alumni Association Officers Elected for 2026-27

At the June meeting of the Alumni Association's Board of Governors, elections were held for the officers of the alumni association for the 2026-2027 year. As of July 1, 2026, the following men will serve 1-year terms, ending on June 30, 2027.

Jim Kelly '70 Steps Down as President of the Northeast Catholic Alumni Association

Jim Kelly '70, the current President of the Northeast Catholic Alumni Association, has decided to step down from that position for the upcoming year. Jim has served on

the Alumni's Board of Governors for well over 30 years and been instrumental in our success over the years, serving on and/or chairing several committees over that time. He has led the "mini digital revolution" at the association during his term as president, including an updated website, multiple social media channels, the ability to accept multiple forms of payment for dues, merchandise, event tickets and donations through Falconway. Jim has also overseen the upgrades to our office computer hardware and software. While he will no longer be president, Jim will continue to serve as a Trustee of the Memorial Scholarship Fund and will also serve as our 4th Vice President for the upcoming year. The entire Alumni Association Board of Governors thanks Jim Kelly for his service as president the past two years and we are grateful that he will continue to contribute to our success into the future.

Alumni Board of Governors elect new President

Mike Ferris '82, will be the Northeast Catholic Alumni Association's President as of July 1, 2026. Mike has served on the Alumni Board of Governors since 2022, as well as from

2002 thru 2010. Mike is the current 1st Vice President, a position he's held for the past two years. He has also chaired the IT/Technology committee and has been instrumental in updating the association's website and creating a social media presence for us. He is currently working to update the office computer systems and database. As president, Mike will also become the newest Trustee of the Alumni's Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Vice Presidents elected for 2026-27

The Association officers include four vice presidents; Joe Pilawsky '71, the current 3rd Vice President, will now serve as the 1st Vice President. Greg Masi '73, the current 4th Vice President, will now serve as the 2nd Vice President. Joe Kaiser '66 is a new officer this year and will serve as the 3rd Vice President and Jim Kelly '70, our current President, will now serve as the 4th Vice President.

All four Vice Presidents are very active with the alumni association and have contributed greatly to our continued success the past several years.

Treasurer, Secretary and assistants will continue to serve in 2026-27

Jeff Brown '79 and Steve Cardullo '72, will continue to serve as secretary and treasurer, respectively. These two positions are critical to the success of the organization. Both Jeff and Steve are former presidents of the Association and as such are both trustees of the Northeast Catholic Alumni Memorial Scholarship Fund. Steve has served on the Alumni Board of Governors for all 54 years since he graduated from Northeast Catholic in 1972.

Bob Kensil '74, will continue as the Assistant Secretary for the upcoming year. Bob is a former Alumni Association President and a 2026 Hall of Fame inductee.

The two assistant treasurers will also not change, with John Garson '72 as 1st assistant, and Dave Shafie '90 as 2nd assistant.

Tom Morgan to remain Alumni Historian for 2026-27

Last but not least is Tom Morgan '64, who will again serve as the Association's historian. Tom is a past president of the Alumni Association, and he has served on the Board of Governors for over 30 years. In addition, Tom is a trustee of the Northeast Catholic Alumni Memorial Scholarship Fund and the chair of the Association's Golf Classic committee. His selfless dedication to North Catholic and the Association makes Tom a perfect fit for the role of Historian.
