I would personally like to thank all those who attended the 95th Annual Alumni Communion Breakfast and helped make it a huge success!
The Concelebrants of the Mass; Fr Jack Kolodziej OSFS ’87, Fr. Bob Bazzoli OSFS ’77, Fr. Vince Smith OSFS ’74, Alumni Assoc. Chaplain - Fr. Jim Dalton Hon. ’89, and Deacon Joe Hepp ’57 started the festivities with a beautiful liturgical celebration. The celebration of the Mass was enhanced by the music of our vocalist MaryAnn Tancredi accompanied by Keyboardist Cathy Galie. This Communion Mass and the participation of all the attendees helped make the Mass truly memorable!

We were fortunate to have Joe Rapczynski ’70, North Catholic Hall of Fame member as our Toastmaster. Joe kept things moving with
his quick wit and banter!
The Northeast Catholic Alumni Assoc. “Outstanding Achievement Award” was presented to Phil Martelli, former coach of the St. Joseph University basketball team and former Chair of the Coaches Vs Cancer National Council. Phil was our principal speaker. He regaled us with his personal connection to North Catholic basketball and other interesting stories!

Congratulations to the men who were inducted to the North Catholic Hall of Fame in the various categories: Tom Stiglich ‘86, for Arts, Entertainment, Education; Jerry Tarde ‘74 for Athletics; John Barnes ‘89, for Business, Labor & Military; the late Fr. John Harvey OSFS ‘36; and Bob Kensil ‘74, for Service. Dennis Kelly ’67 received the Alumni Association “Outstanding Alumnus Award” for his dedication to the Association and oversight of our financial statements since the passing of our former Executive Secretary and Treasurer, Len Knobbs '53, during the COVID outbreak. All of these men were deserving of the honors they received. The participation of the friends and family members of these men was a tribute to their character, and the sell-out crowd was a testament to their standing in the North Catholic community.

I also must thank John Barnes ’89, for donating the Beach Brew Coffee for today’s celebration. John’s generosity at all North Catholic functions knows no bounds. He truly exemplifies the Salesian spirit taught us by the Oblates, and I am truly thankful for all John does for the North Catholic community.
Once again, I extend a huge thank you to the staff of Cannstatter Volksfest Verein. I save my last thank you for the involvement and contributions of the many members of the Alumni Board of Governors. Your dedication to the Alumni Association and the spirit and memory of North Catholic is the cornerstone of why the Communion Breakfast is such a success year after year. I thank you for all you do to keep North Catholic alive and the Alumni Association operating!
Fablio!!
